Booking and Bail in California

Whether a person has been arrested for domestic violence, DUI, DWI or any other offense the process is the same. Persons taken into custody by the Diamond Bar Police or Sheriff's Department will be held at either the Diamond Bar Police Station Jail, Sheriff's Station Jail or will be transfered to the Los Angeles County Jail (IRC) and will be kept there until their first court date called the "Arraignment." Bail is allowed to be posted in any facility 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Before a bail bond is turned in and accepted, the arrestee must pass a background check through "Live Scan", which is a machine that is linked to a county, state and national database. That database will notify the authorities of any possible holds, warrants, or aliases that might prevent release or increase the total bail amount of an arrestee. Once the results of the Live Scan come back from the various government agencies, that person is then "cleared" to bond out. At this time, a jailor will review and accept a Bail Bond for an arrestee and release them on the Bail Bond.

From the time a Bail Bond is turned in, it takes between 30 minutes and 3 hours for a release depending on the facility where the person is being held. Release times do vary based on the workload of the Diamond Bar jail's staff as well as the type of facility. Once out, a person will need to complete his or her part of the paper work, take a picture, and make sure to show up to each and every court date thereafter.

More about Diamond Bar California

More about c

In addition to being bail bonds agents we are proud members of the Diamond Bar community.

The city of Diamond Bar, named after the 'diamond over a bar' branding iron registered by ranch owner Frederick E. Lewis in 1918, and as of January 1, 2008 is estimated to be the home of 60,360 residents. Diamond Bar is mostly residential, with shopping centers peppered throughout the city that is located at the junction of the Pomona and Orange freeways. The city is the first in Southern California to build and use a hydrogen fueling station, located near the South Coast Air Quality Management District building. The land that houses the city began as a land grant in 1840, awarded to Jose de la Luz Linares from Governor Juan Alvarado and was originally known as Rancho Los Nogales or Ranch of the Walnut Trees. The land was later sold by Linares' widow and the land was divided into multiple land ranches, the largest of which was Diamond Bar Ranch. At the time, Diamond Bar was one of the largest working cattle ranches in all of the western United States until the ranch was acquired by the Transamerica Corporation in the 1950s who planned to develop the nation's first master-planned communities. The corporation gave the town it's official name and even incorporated the ranch symbol into many of the town logos, logos that are still in use today. The first communities in the city were started in the 1960s and thanks to development, the town grew rapidly, however, in the 1970s and 1980s, the Transamerica Corporation sold all of its real estate holdings, splitting the city planning amongst several different groups. As a result of multiple development firms, much of the initial master plan for the community was not implemented in the second half of the development. The city was officially incorporated in April, 1989.
